I fell for the "good cold hardy cactus companion" ad for these little plants. They were so small with so little root mass when they arrived it has taken them 3 months to reach blooming size. I baby them with a little water twice a week.
Zinnia grandiflora, hopefully they will be more vigorous next summer.

This is the second time these cacti have bloomed. Are they the same species?
