What are the green pods on dried blossoms and what do I do with it?

Those are seed pods. It you don't want seeds cut them off. If you would like seeds, wait until they dry & start to split at the top. then havest them. don't let seeds drop as there will be a different iris plant beside your existing plant.

irises do not come true from the seeds, You can only have the same iris bu manually divideing the plant. Seeds produce different plants just like people produce different people.

Thank you, that is good to know...here I've been treasuring the pods 'cause I didn't know what they were...they are now in the trash...
