Hi fellow gardeners! My wife bought a beautiful Jacob's Ladder plant and planted it a couple feet away from one of my roses. The rose was a bit yellow so I gave it a bit of Iron additive that also creates a bit of more acidic soils condition. The Jacob's Ladder plant had been doing great but within a couple days of having given the rose the iron additive, the Jacob's Ladder plant looked like something had been poured upon it. Just long stems left and all laying over! The foliage is all shriveled up and mostly gone! Could the Iron additive have done this? The rosebush shows no signs of damage at all. Not sure what happened... Please give me your input.
