I purchased 6 Black Cohosh roots this spring.
    Only 3 of them grew.
They are in the shade, less than 1/2 hour of sun per day. They are in good humus soil and constantly damp. I checked the P.H. And it's at 5.5 which as I have read is about right for this plant.
I have also used a balanced solid fertilizer after they came up.
There only 10 inches tall and although they look healthy, there not growing.
What am I doing wrong ? HELP PLEASE.
