I have successfully grown lotus for many years but this is the first time there have been so few flowers and the leaves are quite small. The sparse flowers in the other pots have been smaller than usual too. I spoke with another person in my area and she said hers had not bloomed yet this year either.

They were all divided and properly planted. The winter and spring was unusually warm this year, my first thought was that they needed additional fertillizer but frankly, they were puny looking when they first came up.

Are others having this problem this year?

As of now, mine haven't bloomed at all this year...we've had warm sunny weather, but as of today...not one bloom. I have 3 different ones in 3 different locations and enviroments...but nada.

It has been a strange year for a lot of different plants. Makes me wonder what next year will bring.

Carolyn, I think you're this point, I'm not sure next year's weather will be any better from what they say.
