I have at least two of these. I find them kind of graceful, but they are blocking the sun to other parts of my bed so I want to figure out what they are and decide whether to keep them.

Maybe Hibiscus? Have you seen them bloom?

Sorry to disagree with Hibiscus, but the leaves aren't right.

Don't be sorry to disagree! I wasn't so sure about that either, after I responded. :-) I had also given thought to a Hydrangea, but not sure about that either. There are different variations of leaves in each of these. :-)) Blooms would certainly tell the story!

Seeing flowers would definitely help me, LOL. The leaves look like all kinds of things.

They haven't bloomed, but if they do, I will definitely take some pictures. For whatever it's worth, I think they smell vaguely minty. I'll try to take some pics that show their stems better.
