Found this on the shores of the lower Colorado River in central Texas. At first it looked like something that had just washed up, but then I noticed it was wrapping around all the shoreline plants. Any ideas?!
It sucks out the life blood out of host plants by inserting its roots into stems and growing sucking appendages. It selects host plants based on scent and feeds off their nutrients. Makes me think of horror movies.
