    Friend went to France and wanted to know what these are. HELP please. He said they were all edible and moderately sweet.

    First 2 pictures are of the same.
    He thinks its a plum of some sort.

    I thought Punica as well, but there was something strange with the colour of the flesh around the seeds and the outer skin/peel. Maybe it is the camera and it is not showing a more realistic image.

    There are many, many types of pomagranates in the world. We are only used to seeing the 'Wonderful' variety here in the US, but Dave Wilson Nursery has recently been offering some of the diversity from around the world. Some cv. have clear juice; some are almost black inside.

    my friend was saying on the 3rd picture that. it didn't look like any pomegranate he has seen before. So wasn't positive what it could be. but Thank you everyone! much appreciated.
