I sowed them inside over fall and then transplated them outside this spring. Both the gallardias and rudbecias are flowering now!
I think you could direct sow rudbecia too. not sure though.

I have Gallardia Burgandy color and the classic red and yellow. I have lots of kinds of Shasta,
and many other seeds including Vitex (Blue Chaste Tree) Blue Butterfly, tall campanula (watch it
it tends to try to take over.
