I pickled okra yesterday. My daughter put the lids on to tight. They did not seal.

I have emptied the brine out of each jar separately, heated the brine to boiling, cleaned the jar rims, put the lids in boiling water, and re-sealed them again.

Is this okay to do this??

I didn't know you could put the lids on too tight? You can get the new lids too hot, though. I think what you did is fine, really. Good save.

Thanks. They all sealed the second time.
