Canning, Freezing and Drying: Strange sealing question

I was listening for the pops from my lids tonight. I am 100% sure I heard at least 9 pops. I have a 7 quart canner. Is this normal or okay if a lid pops more than once? I have never paid much attention to the pops before. Usually I just check 24 hours later to make sure all jars are sealed.
