A friend of mine has a plant that stands about 12" tall, and it has white pods about 1" in diameter hanging off the branches that look like eggs. She called it an "Egg Plant" but I can't find any information about it on the internet. Does anyone know what it is or how I can get information about it's care and requirements?

They don't require more than normal care. pretty tough plants. There are two that meet your description. The Easter Egg plant and one is barely edible the other is not but vendors tend tend to mix them anyway.
