I wonder if anyone has had this problem. In 2010 I bought a ghost bamboo, Dendrocalamus amoena, and brought it back here to Italy. It did well last summer and this year sent up 2 nice big culms. But recently I discovered 2 more at over a metre from the original clump. A clumping bamboo shouldn't do this, right? I've written to the specialist nursery where I bought it and am waiting for a reply, but as my DG friends are always so quick off the mark I thought I'd widen my field of enquiry. Any joy folks? Thanks, Sue
