I understand that there are certain plants that require "special" soil, however, is there a formula for making a good all-around potting material for MOST houseplants? For example...1/4 perlite, 1/4 vermiculite, etc? Thaks!

Kristy, check out the sticky thread in this forum. If you can print it, it's very useful info. I have printed it and read, and reread it at various times.

Lol - I JUST got done directing CK to that thread on another of her posts; that, in concert with the offer of some encouragement to take on the not at all daunting challenge of learning how to employ a simple concept that will almost certainly make things easier while increasing her potential for success.
