Will post a picture later. Overnight some small dark caterpillars have eaten my morning glory vine. They seem to only want that but I've never seen such overnight damage. Maybe tent caterpillars, but they seem smaller.

Well, all caterpillars start out very small.

Try this link: http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/checklists?species_type=All&tid=2576

Here's a picture of what ate my morning glory vines.
The link that someone posted to caterpillar names was only names, no pictures. So does anyone have a guess what this is?

Hi! The link I gave you should bring a list of all the Butterflies and Moths that have been recorded in your county. When you click on a name, it should take you to a detail description that usually includes a picture. If you are lucky, there will be a picture of the caterpillar, too.

However, I went through some of the likely culprits in your area, and it didn't bring up any caterpillar pictures. Sorry.

I did a Google image search, and the closest I found was "yellow-striped army worm"
