    Spreading plant, might be a weed or volunteer, only a few inches tall. Popped up beside my mailbox post while I was away.

    Leaves are thin, about a half inch long, with a cluster of shorter ones at the end of the stem around the tiny yellow starshaped flower. The plant has grown to about a foot across.

    Would send a close-up picture of the flowers, which come out in the morning and close up in the afternoon, but I don't see how to do that.

    i have it too. pops up wherever there is sufficient water. i'll be watching.
