I have a group or cluster of some type of phoenix palms near my pool. I've been looking at them as I take a nightly dip wondering if there are any plants out there I could jazz them up with? I have some bromeliads growing in their trunks, but they are pretty gray for most of the year and blah. I'm looking for something hardy and colorful. I don't really want anything that would need winter protection if possible. Any ideas?
