First photo - plant on right is Cleistocactus strausii.
Second photo looks like Pilosocereus tillianus.

Thank you. Yes, they definitely look like the pictures I'm seeing on the web. I need to study the whole thing more. There's an entry in Plant Files for a P. lanuginosus var. tillianus, is that the same plant?

If so, maybe PF should be updated. The Kew Plant List has P. tilianus as an accepted species name (and I learned it comes from Venezuela).

As of 2001 per Anderson's book, "The Cactus Family", P tillianus is a synonym of P. lanuginosus. And after being taken a step further, is a variety. Now unless Hunt's 2007 book "The New Cactus Lexicon" has it listed other than a synonym of P. lanuginosus, then it is correct.
Does anyone know how it is listed in TNCL?
