I planted some very nice looking Iris tubers (bareroot) from a very good local garden center. Any chance of blooms nex spring?

Yes, there's a chance an iris rhizome will bloom the first year, but since you're in a cold area and planting them kinda late, it might be two years.

But, it's something to look forward to.

Which ones did you get?

This fall I got Edith Wolford, City Lights Jurassic Park, and Pagan Dance. This Spring I had gotten Off to the Races and Best Bet. I already have a few mostly noids. Best Bet is my favorite so far.
