Despite the long drought and extreme heat we experienced this Summer in West Tn, the American Schizandra, growing in the wild, managed to produce a good-sized crop of berries. I picked enough to make nearly 2 quarts of tincture. One of my own vines died during the drought, but I'm going out, next week to take several new cuttings to replace it. Wherever it grows wild here, it grows in abundance.
