She was "Party Animal, loves the night life". He was "Outdoorsy, fond of the balls and racket of afternoon tennis". Online, they were a perfect match. She purred delightfully, rubbing her exquisite fur against the computer screen. He panted after her every word and his smile was electrifying. So, she boldly invited him to leave his beach cottage and stay for a week in her big city penthouse. What began quite well ended rather badly. First, he fell asleep at midnight while she was still on the prowl. Then, he turned his nose up at the fresh mouse she had so lovingly brought him for breakfast. Finally, when he rudely interrupted her morning nap, she bristled at his invitation to brunch and a run in the park. She suddenly felt like scratching his eyes out. Her manner did not go unnoticed. He sadly made his way down the fire escape and caught a ride to the airport with a poodle. They never called, skyped, emailed, or text messaged again. C'est la vie. C'est l'amour.
