Hello Paul. I love your articles. I have your rose articles printed and compiled into my own rose grower's manual. About the leaves, I walked past a neighbors yard a few years back & noticed that the children were raking up leaves that had fallen from a beautiful sugar maple that I've admired many times for it's vivid fall colors. I asked the mother if I could have the leaves. The next thing I know, the children were toating bags of leaves to my yard. The mother was pleasantly surprised when I returned with jars of pickles and jelly. I told her that the leaves would help produce more cucumbers and berries for next year's harvest. : )
