I found a colony of what looks like some kind of lichens growing on my R. hystrix this morning. I've had this palm in the ground for about 4 years and it has been doing well, but I don't know what if anything to do about this growth. It grows between the trunk and a frond. Please help!!!!

Looks like it's flowering/fruiting.

I feel really dumb, but I've never had a palm do this before.
