    Hello All,

So sorry I still seem to be rarely here...just been a terrible several months...between being busy, the drought/heat here has caused lots of birding/gardening/lawn issues (cracks up to 18" deep)...and lastly, my dad and uncle passed away too :(

Anyway, I have been slowly getting out of the "fog" of it all by spending more time birding again. I'm a bit rusty IDing some of the birds. I know this time of year, juvie sparrows have striations in their breast feathers, so unsure about this sparrow...if it is a Lincoln, Savannah or a juvie sparrow of the Grasshopper, Chipping, etc.
Any help is greatly appreciated...TY :)

Ooof! Can't make up my mind between Song and Lincoln's. The latter is probably the better fit on bill shape, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

My deepest sympathy, SusanLouise, the death of your father and uncle must be very painful and certainly not easy to deal with. Hope with time, the pain in your heart will fade away, and you'll remember some fond memories of them.

I can't help with the Sparrow sorry.

Oh Susan, may you and family find some comfort during this difficult time; my deepest sympathy to you and family to cross through the "fog" and eventually find fond memories of your father and uncle.
