We had it in Missouri also. Along with the heat (102 - 108) and no rain for 2 months came the creatures looking for food and water. I had deer, groundhogs, rabbits, mice, squirrels, raccoons and possums and a turtle that I know of. Most likely we had skunks and a few others also. I live in the middle of the woods so we have many creatures around the house. What they did not eat, they dug up. We are hoping for a better year next year. the only thing tht produced was an eggplant. Everything else gave up.
Sorry to hear that, but thanks for sharing about your experience with the drought. Poor creatures and poor you! Hoping for a better next year for you too.
