Saw this guy on an interior shed door. It looks like it has silver armour with copper bumps. About 1in. long. Would love to know what it's called since I've never seen anything like it! Thanks! -Germantown md.

Its some sort of butterfly chrysalis but not sure whose. Maybe someone else will know.
