Hello. There are huge number of these bugs (I found the picture online) on our tilia tree. I found different information about it online, its name is red bug? milkweed bug? box elder bug? I couldn't find exact information, also I am interested what impact are they having? What are they doing on that tree? Should I destroy them? Thanks for the answer

It's in the family Pyrrhocoridae, known as a firebug - http://www.britishbugs.org.uk/heteroptera/Pyrrhocoridae/p_apterus.html
