megete Neiva, Viana do Cast Portugal This morning I found this sort of cone on the pavement. I thought it might come from some sort of conifer, but I can't see any such tree around. This seed has certainly been dropped by somebody who had found it somewhere else. Could you please help me identify the right tree? Thank you.

suse Bretten Germany Seems Resin has it: For comparison : Xanthoceras sorbifolium
megete Neiva, Viana do Cast Portugal Thank you, Resin and Suse. Of course you are right as usual, moreover in this case where you have the same opinion.
Now I'm really curious about where the tree is that produced such seeds. I'll have to walk my neighbourhood with a print of Xanthoceras sorbifolium in my hand.
