Maybe. I have one in the front yard that has proven fully hardy and it seems to like to be treated like a hardy fuchsia. I think it likes a semi-organic soil, relatively moist amongst other shrubs with the top in the sun and the roots protected. I'm surprised it took some pretty harsh winters.
This one has spent most of it's life in a less-sunny location. It's either been hanging in a basket that only got a couple hours of early morning sun, or in a greenhouse, behind a shade cloth. Maybe it just needs more light. I'll test the soil first, and see where that leaves me. Thanks again! I'll mark this as solved, which was the main goal, heh. =)
