Hi Dorothy-Thanks for your suggestions. Am always looking for something new to read.
For the record, the name of the book I was searching for is " These is my Words". Author
is Porter. Loved it so much I read everything else she has written. Give it a try-I think
you'll like it. Susan

I'm always looking for something new and good too and not one of the same old bestsellers authors.
Just got Water for Elephants and grabbed me at the git go nut I've been too busy to read.

I'd forgoten- loaned Water for Elephants out and did not get back...hmmmmm

The readers have helped me in that respect for sure!

Edgar Sawtelle is out too!!

I will get the Porter book - thanks . Hope I can find in reader format.

Now reading big breasts and wide hips...or wide hips and big breasts...I forget!
Author just one Nobel prize for literature. china won't let some of his work out because it doesn't describe life in China as so good...even tho fiction.

I liked Edgar Sawtelle
will never forget i lost a James Herriot book by lending it
even though i haven t bothered to re read my others in twenty years! Lol
Nobel could be Good recommendation eh
Night by Elie Wiesel is the only nobel related lit that I know I ve read
not sure if he got the nobel for that specifically
