Perennials: Anyone familiar with Salvia Wendy's Wish?

It was sold in our Lowes as a perennnial and I just stumbled across info that says it's zone 8 hardy. I think I'm going to dig it up today but thought I'd ask if anyone has had luck with it.

Everything I've ever seen on it says zone 8 so I think it's highly unlikely that it would make it in zone 6. I'd bring it inside for the winter if I were you.

I dug all 5 and put them in my cool basement. they were beautiful and I couldn't just let them die.

I have several and they are rather tender for me so I protect them in winter. We are zone 6a.

Once they get going they are quite beautiful here.

FYI S. 'Wendy's Wish' are attractive to Ruby-throated Hummingbirds in our region.
