It's that time of year! Time to turn your trash into Christmas ornaments that is! Here are some ornaments I made out of shotgun shells that my hub was going to throw away. Note: No animals were harmed in the making of these ornaments, shotgun is used for trap shooting only!

These are really cute. I don't have access to spent shotgun shells, but love the idea!

I need to get some of my hunter friends to save me some shells. This would be a good craft project for my class at church.

Yes. That is always a consideration as we have a small church and our community is impoverished. It is getting worse with every day because we depend on coal mining and the administration is bent on destroying that industry. Lots of layoffs and it is the only thing anybody knows how to do. Many of the workers who are being layed off are workers who have been on the job for 30 & 40 years and are well past the age of being retrained.

Cajun, the present administration is hell bent on destroying the coal mining industry and the repercussions are going to be disastrous. GRRRRRRR!

You are right and we are already feeling the pain. If all the mines would shut down for 1 week it would throw the majority of the country into darkness. The average person has no idea how much this country depends on coal.

They are now the privileged class and everyone else is a NOTHING in their estimation. Of course they won't fall under Obamacare like the rest of us nor will Muslims since their religion won't allow that! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Sadly, spirituality not religion, is what is missing. Religion just seems to be another reason for some to fight. The priviledges go to the elite, rich, and powerful. To them, we are nothing more than slaves that work, eat, sleep, repeat. Until we all realize we have part of our Creator within us and that we our sovereign souls, we are like sheep or lemmings. That has been the problem too long. Too few are willing to stop and say "wait, this is wrong!" and pursue a course to recitfy the problem. That is why the Congress sits on their behinds and does nothing but accept the bribes (PAC) money pay-offs, while the sheeple elected a president who had already destroyed parts of the Constitution and is now going after more.

Its gray, drizzly and cold here today, so I have more computer time then usual!

When I said "Easter is next" I was thinking how you could stuff the top with a little easter basket cellophane grass and make some little polymer clay or bead eggs, paint the bottom with some little pickets and a bunny like a pedestal planter with an Easter basket on top! They are fun and creative. Loved the moose!

Ha...that does sound cute! Bet I could use cotton for a bunny tail and felt for ears to make it a bunny too!
