Hey all! I gave my silkies to a student of mine a few years ago, and I got this email from her tonight... can anyone pass any advice on for me to give to her?

One of the female silkies you gave me cant hold her head up and I was wonder if you could tell me what it is? She has no running nose and she used to be able to walk and it got worse . I stop giving her medicated chick feed, so I stared giving it to her again and she doing better. She walks backward with her head down. Its like she lost her balance, but I would be off balance if my head was like that. lol So, I was thinking vitamin deficiency. I have been giving her vitamen E in capsules and vitamen d lqiuid . I have never experience this before lol. So I'm hoping you have so you can help me save her. She is eatting, I just have to hold her head up a little for her. when I pick her up she will hold her head up when I go to put her back in the cage her head goes back down .

    Any ideas?

I haven't heard any more from her, so hoping no news is good news!
