My mom has a shrub that turns red in the fall and has red/orange berries. It is beautiful, with rough bark. Can anyone help me ID it ?

Wow - talk about fast ! Thanks so much, she will be thrilled to know. She has had it for many years and my aunt (that gave her the shrub) is no longer living to ask.

Thrilled, or perhaps dismayed, since it is an invasive alien in your area . . . ;-)

My mom has had it in her yard for MANY years and there are only 2 large shrubs. I couldn't find any seedlings under them.

Birds spread the seeds far and wide - look for its seedlings in the surrounding woods up to several miles away.
