Hi,
The autumn leaves in Ireland are really great this year, even after a very wet, dull Summer and almost no frost so far. What struck me this year is how long some of the trees hung onto their leaves. Acer palmatum lasted at least 3 weeks, Prunus at least a month, Parrotia 5 weeks and Fagus sylvatica has been going for 6 or more.
Wow, I'm glad to hear you had turning leaves for so long! Thanks for letting us know about your fall. Very unusual summer too...or is it normal for Ireland?
