24 hours w/o the hiccups!!! YEAH!!!!! What an anniversary gift yesterday! No hiccups! Dont know if it is the omeprozol finally doing its job correctly or from the endoscopy - sometimes just the action of sticking the tube/camera down the throat will cure the hiccups. He had one done on Friday. Grade D esophagitis (the worst) and a hiatal hernia. Not sure if the latter is from throwing up or even the esophagitis could have been ongoing - and the food poisoning could have been the trigger. Who knows. Im just very happy they are gone and we can get back to normal. Again - thank you everyone for your thoughts and encouraging words.
Shinedown is good, but I don't hear them often, BOC, ELO, and the guys who did the song- Welcome back my friends, to the show that never ends, these were my genre, that and Grace Slick, album Dreams, I need some you- tube, gtg
Me too kittriana. We love the beaches at Outer Banks. Have your travels taken you there?
Don't have that book...yet. Most of the shelves hold books about glass paperweights and related glass objects, shared with hubby's Civil War book collection.
We still laugh about the time years ago one Christmas when we had a houseful and had just sat down to eat. Hubby opened a bottle of Champagne for Mimosas, let the cork fly, and it bounced off the wall and hit my MIL right between her eyes. That cork is still in my shadow box. Ever since, he's been much more careful and uses a towel.
Not yet and are just now having freezing temps overnight. Two years ago, snowfall here broke a 100 year record. Last year was a non-Winter with only a couple of minor dustings. I'm looking forward to seeing real snow again, just not piles of it that prevent us from going out. We live on one of the last roads the County plows.
17° for a high today - flurries currently. We've had 2/3" so far on Thanksgiving with a projection of 61" for the season. Still some left in the grass and oddly ice patches in parking lots.
Forecast is 50° by Saturday :)
Most of the boys can be better chefs when they get past the- it's womans work thing- reminds me of an ex laying into his son about calling him a woman after he'd made that remark in front of his dad, chuckl, bad move on the boys part, but little scamp learned that day and is an awesome cook now, :) (:
Anybody else like a mess of sauteed Fall greens? We had a mix of turnip tops, curly mustard and creasy as a Thanksgiving side dish...an homage to my SC upbringing.
Still haven't cooked cabbage or collards...yet. How about you Vance?
Were at drill this weekend staying at a hotel (hubbys unit xmas party) and there were hockey tournaments...which meant a sold out hotel of 8 & 9 year old boys and their families...running up and down the hall, yelling, took over the pool, the hotel...long weekend.
