Looks like a variegated form of Schefflera arboricola.

But leaves are simple here. More like a young plant of Ficus elastica

Not a ficus. I agree with schefflera.

I think the photo is a little deceptive--the big cluster of leaves in the center of the picture makes it look like a compound leaf such as Schefflera would have, but singhg45 pointed out that the leaves are simple, and if you look closely at some of the other leaves in the picture that seems to be the case. Plus I've never seen a scheff with a variegation pattern that looks like this. Not sure what it is, but don't think it's Schefflera.

Schefflera- I used to sell the variegated ones in LA in a nursery I managed. They are beautiful plants.

I am uploading two cropped images to show that these are simple leaves and not palmate compound leaves. Incidentally I also thought of family Araliaceae when photographing this from Delhi University Flower show, but not able to fix the identity.

After a lot of discussion we had arrived at Daphniphyllum. Any further ideas about exact identity?

Honestly, even though the best I could do was Daphniphyllum, I'm still not satisfied with the ID. Maybe more pictures with close-ups of the main stem, the bud, the whole plant with less in the background, etc.

This one was from a flower show in Delhi University, hope to find the same (or similar) in coming February annual show, and capture more with eyes open for all clues.
