    Hi ,

I'm working on my first garden for months, I'm spending a lot of energy to understand the garden.
I have this new weeds that are developing in the Garden. I really need help identifying so I know what to do with them. For example I found out that one of them is Sorrel (3 Heart leafs) and that it's edible. Tasted it and loved it.

SO I want to understand the rest. I'll post them one after the other.
The name, if edible/useful and is it harmful to the garden?
any other info is more than welcome.

In the photos, I keep my fingers or my boots with the Puma logo in to understand the size of this plants.

    Many thanks for helping.

Don't know beans about plants native to your region but I suspect the following:
    1-Possible Geranium sp.
2-Something in the Composite Family, perhaps a Sonchus.
    3-No guess
4-Could be Pokeweed, Phytolacca americana. Are the lower stems reddish?
    5-Possible Euphorbia.

#2-Whether Sonchus, Radish, Chicory, Mustard, Dandelion relative or such it is edible, though perhaps not enticing.
#4-If Pokeweed, young shoots are eaten by some but the mature plant and berries are highly toxic. Pokeweed is a garden pest here and quickly develops large taproots that are a lot of work to fully remove, so get them while small.
#5-Euphorbias can be difficult weeds in the garden, and since their sap burns the skin, care should be taken in removal.

Since the stem of #4 is red in the first set, I re-affirm my belief that it is Pokeweed. Weeds spread from North America to other parts of the world as well as vice-versa.
