Wow! Can't believe I am first. We aren't having Thanksgiving today because the kids are off at their girlfriends' family. So Dave and I are having TBones for supper. We will do the traditional dinner next Sunday.
Susie I will be making the pecan pumpkin bars OMG, they look wonderful and it will be our nod to pie.
Made an Apple Cheese Praline Cake earlier that totally disappeared much to my waistline's chagrin.
I will look up my devilish eggs after I get back in from moving my compost to the front yard. With a tractor, lol. The weather is sublime, will be close to 80 today.

Y'all have a happy turkey day!

We spent Thanksgiving evening in Domino making pizzas for the employees at Walmart. The lady who placed the order asked if I was going to shop and I told her no as we had to go back to more pizzas for her people. She asked me if there was anything special I wanted,, so I told her Ralph sure could use some jeans and a few flannel shirts. So when we got back for the second delivery,, she had them waiting for me. Very nice of her. The total cost for the clothes was under $50.00. So that was great. I am not doing any other shopping for Christmas. Our Christmas is the new car we had to get.

All in all we had a good day.

Beautiful Linda.

Great Thanksgiving here, all the trimmings including fresh pumpkin for the pie, with most of the family. The kids gave me an early Christmas present, a cute little 4 month old chihuahua named Evie and she is already house broke to my delight, If I can get her to hold still long enough to get a pic I'll show her off.

No Blk Friday shopping here. Knees couldn't handle that 5 to 5, just too old I guess.

Did I miss a pickle recipe? Would love to have another.

Looking forward to seeing a pic of Evie, Robin. I thought about you while preparing Thanksgiving dinner over several days and know how relieved you are not having to be on your feet for so long everyday anymore at the restaurant.

This Summer my SIL adopted a Yorkie and a Schnauzer at the same time. Both are keeping her on her toes and heard how delighted they were yapping away when she came home from work one day last week while we were on the phone. The Yorkie is 3, sadly given up by his previous elderly owner. The Schnauzer is 7 and until she rescued him, he'd been tied to the bottom of a staircase his entire life. He is just now starting to come out of his shell with her love and having a companion dog for company during the day. It's beyond me why the previous owner wasn't charged with animal cruelty.

Those grands of yours need you healthy too, Elfie.

OK, let's get back to the game while we wait...

C - clothes

It was always fun getting new clothes and could hardy wait to wear them back to school after the Holiday break, and I always got a slew of new panties (you know what our Moms always said about wearing clean underwear), and there was usually a new pair of jammies to sport first on Christmas Eve.

I was at Hobby Lobby today and was looking at the embroidery patterns and boy did those take me back, the days of the week, the southern bells with their bloomers showing, lol. I was looking for the patterns to do all in red, can't remember what it's called.

DH had carpal tunnel surgery today, they snipped both his wrist and his elbow, so he will be home for a few days, he promised to help me get a pic, crossing fingers.

H-hotpads, rember weaving those stretchy bands on the metal loom and giving everyone in the families a couple two or three. Then they had to have them every Christmas.

Fruity, I miss the work and the people, but not the pain. Thank you for thinking about me you are the sweetest.

I can't wait to try the pickles. I've used all the peppers from the garden so I guess I'll have to wait until next summer, not! I'll go buy some.

Morning all, geehz went to bed too early and now I am up too early, but at least it is Friday...yes. Leaving work at noon and going to a great craft show and will finish up my buddies box, just wanted to hold off long enough to make sure there isn't anything I want to add or change...

We have had a few cold days like a couple in the teens but all in all it has been quite warm for us and no moisture. Think this weekend I will water some trees. Sounds funny to be doing that in November well actually December.

Elfie glad you are getting better. Gosh hate those sinus infections and yours sounds like a doozie.

Robyn is DH in pain? That sounds horrible. I have worked on computers since the first day I graduated from high school, my entire working life and fingers crossed I don't get that...

C - cashews

Did you have a better day today, Elfie?

Happ, you reminded me about receiving fruits and nuts in my stockings. Mother used to squirrel nuts back from the Peanuts we grew that were parched by then and others from the fruitcakes she made and sold. We usually had lots of PEcans fresh from our trees unless it was an off year. Others like almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, cashews, and Brazil nuts were a splurge even if they were bought in bulk. Dad would order boxes of Indian River Citrus from Florida that our local schools brokered, probably their biggest fundraiser back in the day before you could order direct.

Eight Indian River Navel Oranges I bought at Walmart last week were $6. That would probably have bought a whole case of Navels and another of Tangerines in the olden days...lol
You had an Aluminum Tree too? I still have the one I grew up with. All the limbs and branches are accounted for in their brown paper sleeves in the original box from Sears & Roebuck. At some point, Mom wrote "top" on one of the sleeves :) It was a must growing up to put that limb back in the proper sleeve so we wouldn't be fumbling for it the next Christmas. The color wheel still works but squeals a bit as it turns.

Anybody have their tree up yet or other decorations besides Mr. Ed and the two wreaths?

Thanks LK, I was looking at wreaths after Dave made fun of mine but to get a big one with stuff on it would have been almost $200. So I went to Hobby Lobby, looked at their stuff and came out spending ~$50. Just took all the old stuff off. Red, green and gold are my favorite mix ups for Christmas.

We have our tree up as well, it is always fun since many of my ornaments are antiques from my childhood and it is a trip through time each time I unwrap the tissue paper. Evan's girlfriend helped me this year, her mom's tree was always one color, one type and usually flocked. She was fascinated with all the different ornaments I have.

Remember the colored trees? I remember a neighbor that had one of those aluminum trees when I was a child and how I thought the changing colors was amazing. We always had a real tree till we moved to TX and my parents complained how dry and old they were. Just about killed my dad to buy that artificial tree.

We also used to go downtown to see the store front displays. It was a big deal.

Lots of memories for Christmas time. Years ago, it was my Dads job to get the lights working and strung, while Mom made popcorn to string, or we made paper chains for the tree. Once the tree was decorated, it was Moms job to put the angel on the top, and it was finished!

OMG aren't those guys are just the cutest things...look at those ears just paying so much attention to you. Love the little fuz ball on the other side, bet he is sooo soft. What a team you have there. Lots of help?

Wow our trees look really similiar, I have all kinds of home made ornaments, ones my neices and nephews made for me thru the years and ones my Mom made us every year. My older sister took on that responsibility after Mom passed away but now she can't do it any more. Guess I ought to try and do it and keep the tradition going. I use to paint ornaments for my necies and nephews every year and date them and they always wanted to put them on the tree by year. Made my sister wacko...rofl.

Fruity those original trees are very expensive now, people want them...rofl. Some of the young workers here had never seen one, so one Christmas I bought them all one from dollar general for their desk...rofl.

Still really warm here.

That's a real cutie you got there Joy. Such a sweet thing.

It seems that every year I always have ornaments left over after the last craft show of the year, which was Saturday, so I will be adding to the tree. If the monsters don't behave here real soon they just might be hanging in their stockings. lol I have a wiggle butt trying to get my attention again to go outside. She loves it when it's warm out. Hit 70 again today. love it.

I always hated that aluminum tree and the color wheel behind it. I felt like we were cheated out of all the good stuff, for some reason it never felt like Christmas.

I am a hummingbird, too! (well, a bit overgrown hummingbird) At least as far as sugar is concerned. The worst thing (maybe) that could happen to me is to be diabetic, and I have a lot of sympathy for anyone who is deprived of sugar.
Those acorns are adorable!!
I heard there were break-ins around here around Thanksgiving. We were broken in a couple of years ago. People asked me if it made me fearful. No, it made me grateful. Grateful that it was not worse than it was. Grateful we were not home. A TV is easily replaced. I was sorry to loose a 40+ year collection of costume jewelry, but my house was not wrecked, and it could have been sooo much worse in so many ways.
Today a group of friends (we call ourselves the Coffee Club) are coming over to visit.

Ok I know I have the flu but chocolate gravy wowzer that sounds really bad...anyone had it?

Hope the package wasn't sent to me and DH has it in the garage or truck or who knows where...always have to worry about things like that..rofl.

Got home last night and no lights on outside which I thought was odd, got to the front door and there was a Christmas tree, one of those soft needle real pine trees. My sweetie had went and gotten me a real tree...I love real trees but gave up a few years ago because going to get it when I wanted became to big of a hassle plus I usually decorate really early (not this year cause of this stupid flu), sometimes he can surprise me to this day...rofl.

Think I am finally getting better...course I think that every morning and by evening I feel not so good. Last night I had a horrible headache, my head was so stopped up, I decided I wanted something hot you know like chinese mustard that makes your head open wide up. Well didn't have that so ate some pickled jalapenos and I felt soooo much better for a few hours...

Chocolate gravy is kinda a cross between choc syrup and pudding in taste. It was a holiday breakfast treat for our biscuits. Make a butter roux, add milk sugar and cocoa powder, cooking till thickened. It is heavenly,. Made it when Evan and his girl came down last weekend. He decided (rightly so) that it was awesome with bacon. By lunch they were dipping cookies in it and drizzled it on a pound cake at supper.

My box will go out Wed. Sorry partner, I also wanted to hit a certain store to get that perfect gift I know they have.

Chocolate gravy is the bomb if it's made right, we always put nuts and chocolate chips in ours if mom let us, but plain on good old fashion pound cake or fry bread was a big treat.

Hi, all.
Paula, sounds like a neat box :) And it includes some homemade candy... Very neat :) You'll have to be sure you get some before someone "helps" you by eating it all for you!
I must say, I thought the idea of chocolate gravy sounded strange, but dipping cookies in it and putting it over cake sounds delicious!

Goodevening everyone.
I want to share with you all you the wonderful box of goodies I received from Susie / deejay9.
I received yummy fudge, dipped pretzels, chex mix , and peanut brittle. I also received handmade beautiful placemat set with coasters, crochet pot holders, country teddy bear towel ,two pair of aloe socks, and wooden napkin holder and colored markers.
Susie, I just wanted to thank you so very much for everything. The fudge is delicious. OH my husband said thank you also for yummy fudge. LOL. I only ate one piece I didn't want to ruin my dinner. I will have to hide that fudge from my hubby. I love it all. Thank you so very much for your generosity. Sending Big Hugs.
Merry Christmas, and Happy and safe New year.

I remember hearing a funny about a family recipe. The recipe was passed down through several generations and finally was with a woman who had never seen the recipe made. The first line in the recipe said "take blue pan..."
She tried and tried to purchase a blue pan and asked older family members. At last she was told, "You had to use the blue pan because that was the only pan we had."
Sometimes we forget how it used to be. I have so many pots and pans I can barely shut the cabinet, but it does not make my cooking any better.

Very nice pressies rolling in!

Paula, my SIL gave me a necklace made like yours, just different colors. It always garners lots of compliments.
Crystal, would you care to share your mints recipe? They look like yummy old-fashioned melt-aways.

Patti, Susie's homemade goodies are always delicious. Placemats are really pretty.

Jaye set you up nicely for more sewing projects, LK. Had a Laurel Burch mug years ago. Her designs are so bright and distinctive.

Well, our tree is up and 95% of the ornaments are on it. Been at it since 10 this morning and it's time to put my feet up.

My box is going out Monday. As long as the rest of us who haven't mailed yet do so one day next week, we should all be fine and beat the last minute rush.

I have done no decorating this year. But next year I plant to start early and get every thing finished before December 1 st..

Joy,, Do I need to go look in my yard to see if I have a box of baby sheep. It would be so awesome if I did. I envy your animals... Ralph and I hope to visit Texas next year. We want to take a couple of weeks and visit Dallas, San Antonio, Del Rio, and of course the Alamo. Maybe we should stop by and take home a few unwanted animals... LOL.

Hi, all.
Well, my apologies... Tried to post this yesterday. Got my message all written, hit send, and discovered that I had lost my internet connection! And since it was late, I just went to bed. So, I'll try again...
Elfie, sending a big hug your way! And my guide dog sends lots of tail wags, too!
Sounds like several boxes arrived with all kinds of neat treasures! What lovely surprises :)
Late Friday afternoon, I was just coming in from taking my dog out when the mailman rang the doorbell. And much to my excitement, I received a package from my secret Santa, Linda Kay (taters55)! Here's what I received:
A fabric angel ornament (with lacy wings, a beaded bow, and that has "hope" embroidered in gold on her dress).
A plastic canvas snowflake (which is white with green and white beeads that resemble holly leaves and holly berries).
A set of 4 quilted placemats with matching mug rug (these are actually reversible with cardinals among holly and evergreen boughs on one side and a gold on white scrollwork pattern on the other side).
A blue and white plastic canvas depicting a cherub with bird (that Linda made).
A clear Christmas tree candy jar filled with peppermint Hershey's Kisses (had to sample these to find out what kind they were!). and a nice Christmas card (our first of the season). Well, okay, it's the second if you count the card from the "Christmas in July" swap :)
I believe Linda has some pictures to share with you all for me, so stay tuned!
Thank you, Linda!

I got so busy last night trying to get pressies done I for got to post the pics of the box I got from Joy, BTW yum!!!!! Thank you
I got a jar of caramel and a jar of candied jalapenos, She sewed me a beautiful heart out of vintage material, I love things like this and will have to hide it when my sisters come over. A handsome snowman and his pretty lady. The cutest Snowman ornament, Goat milk soap, yea. An empty bottle of wine. Not really, well yea no wine in it but it did have Christmas lights in it and is the perfect night light when all the Christmas lights go off. A very beautiful blue towel with Snoemen on it, a very lovely card did you make these? If so gorgeous work. Can't forget the acorns too. No critters though, I'm kinda glad about that, this is the first time in years I haven't had to get up and trudge outside in all kinds of weather to feed and water any.

Very nice Michelle and Robin. Robin, you better not let Susie see the goat's milk soap...lol Another pressie to hide. Are the Acorns as good as they look?
Thank you for taking pics ahead, LK. BTW we're enjoying the placemats you sent for Joy's Christmas in July swap. Michelle, it sounds like the reverse of ours might be from the same fabric. Love mine and the work that went into them.

The garland is strung around our entertainment center and so far we've received a whopping 4 Christmas cards...lol LK, yours is up there from July.

No worries, Elfie. All the gifts I'm ready to mail tomorrow are store bought. I like handmade items too but am not very crafty anymore. What a pretty snowman, Robin. I collect them too, along with Santas and Nutcrackers, and a lot of other things not necessarily for Christmas.

Kim, while you're at it, plug the info into UPS. A lot of times with oversize or heavier boxes, they're still more economical than USPS services, even Parcel Post which isn't much different than Priority Mail anymore.

If our neighbors don't find a way to keep their free range chickens from literally crossing the road, we're soon going to have roo stew and baked hens. There are two roosters, each with their own brood of maybe 5 hens, and the darn things have nearly destroyed the mulched bed of shady plants under our Cherry Tree while scratching for bugs and worms. I run out every time I see or hear them and shoo them back home, five times already this week and no telling how many times they've been here when I wasn't watching. One rooster just stands there looking at me and is the last to leave, so tame and he's a big beautiful black and white boy, a Barred Plymouth Rock I think. They were all so close Friday morning, their clucking work me up. Headline news: "Mad Woman Runs Out Barefoot in PJ's to Chase Fowl in Early Morning Fog."

Elfie, I'd just changed the shower curtains and had washed an extra clear one the day before and had it draped over one of the chairs on our front porch to dry. It was the nearest thing I grabbed that could sort of rattle and scare the birds back home without hurting them. It's still out there for the next time too...lol

Let me know what you think of the cajeta (goat milk caramel) Robyn. And of course the candied jalapeños, Susie will hunt you down for them and the soap. I love my soap, I tend to forget how nice it is till I use a commercial bar. I really need to find someone who does liquid successfully, it seems like a much harder process, and I would love to be able to have liquid goats milk soap.
LK, the night light was shown to me from a friend, it is such a gentle light, we have one in the bunkhouse so that when guests come at night there is a soft light to get them in the door. I just realized that I left off the decorative ribbons that were to go around the neck of the bottle. Dang it.
Fruity, sounds like your hubby needs to have some target practice. Shame y'all don't have a paintball gun, you could send his chickens home all colored for Christmas.

Yep, anytime during this week is fine, meaning Saturday should be anybody's last mailing date. For whatever reason, the blurb up top says 'by December 10' so disregard that since today is just about over anyway. The ultimate goal is for every one of us to receive well before Christmas. I'm late too. I only go into town once a week or once every other week. This week it will be Wed.

I'm still laughing at "Mad Woman Runs Out Barefoot in PJ's to Chase Fowl in Early Morning Fog" Can that be put to the music of 'Grandma got run over by a reindeer'.

Thanks for everything again Joy, I too collect Snowmen and Santas. The Santas are being handed down to my DGD. She wants to collect them too. My snowmen might go to her too. I've never tried anything like goats mild soap or caramel. DH cringed when I told him what it was, I just laughed at him. As a baby I couldn't have fresh cows milk, bad allergy to it so we got goats and that is what I had. Don't think my parents ever thought of making soap from the milk.

The japs as we called them at work, jalapenos, are fantastic. I had a sandwich today with them and a fresh cherokee purple tomato, I wanted a second sandwich but I was too full. yum

Thank you all for the compliments on my snowman, He stand almost 2 feet tall and sits in a wreath. I have one of the little guys sitting on my porch table with lights going all around him. He is out of the weather under the big awning.

Happy 12.12.12. Christmasers!!
Was MIA as I wasn't able to be among the living when pc went on strike.

Looks like the pressies are coming in. Liking what I read and seen so far.

Can't resist getting that Redneck wineglass for Todd, LK! The cap would make his wine glass, spill proof.

Robin, do you have a site where we could see what you have to offer for sale? Loving your snowman.

Fruity/aka ChaChaCha.. our favorite Christmas movie is "A Christmas Story".

It's great to see you're back with the living, Jayebird. You've been missed!

SIL is on her way, wasn't expecting her until sometime tomorrow. It's all good since we haven't seen her since June. The refrigerator is well stocked and we just might celebrate with a spiced up eggnog this evening.

Hope 12-12-12 was a good day for all you busy Elves.

12-12-12 was a great day here in Austin!

I came home from my second final to a box on the porch!

Opening it tells me what I'll be doing this weekend! Inside were:

Two kinds of coffee - Godiva Berry Creme Brulee and Tully's French Roast (LOVE this stuff!), and some yummy cookies.
Also a gorgeous ornament, a "Milady" Amaryllis bulb, Santa notepaper, a journal, warm socks, a fluffy blankie and a pretty card.

Thank you so much Fruity. As always, you hit a homerun! Love it all. :)

What a cool gingerbread house, Kathy.

You're very welcome, Carey. Ya know since you didn't post any likes, you almost got a bag of coal and switches. LOL Just kidding! Could never do that and found a few of your likes on another thread. Wasn't sure you still have a K machine but remembered how you do drink strong coffee. Remember the Folgers Silk coffee conversation on Manda's mug swap? Most of your gifts were meant to pamper after long days in class. You sent a journal to me earlier and it's the one I used all year for gardening notes. So glad you're pleased with your goodies. Enjoy, my friend, you deserve a break!

A. Milady now in bloom. Yours will soon be too.

Love the house Kathy! Geez, the last time I made a gingerbread house was when Evan was in kindergarten. Made a big one for us and we did a craft project with the class using graham cracker houses that the adults built then helped the kids decorate. Mine had a thatched roof made of shredded wheat, seems like I had seen it in one of the "Mom" magazines that year. Wish I still had that kind of patience.

Great stuff Carey, I wanna come by and smell the wonderful coffee!

Mine will go out tomorrow and should get there in plenty of time.

Joy lambs are born when it is usually cold? Some years the poor things would freeze their little tails off up here, and they will lamb again in Jan? wowzer. Course this year has been way warm, Santa is going to have to use a plane or a helicopter around here.

There is a little snow couple Ifor out front. I have a bag of several different kinds of bite sized candy, a bag of different types of herbal teas, and a bag with hot cocoa mix and a caramel wafer cookie.
There is also a cute snowman refrigerator magnet and a lump of coal for my stocking.

No one in the office including me bakes like we use to when I first started. I think from Dec 1 on we use to have homemade stuff here, but not any more. The guys would even bring in things. Course we use to have a ball decorating and exchanging names, now nothing. I still get out the tree but short of that, thats it. I am the last of the group that I started working with sides a couple of the guys. Is it the new generation, or ? Short of sad since we spend so much time here. Maybe it is just here.

Mine goes out today. Actually mine went out today just got back from the po and was surprised how cheap it was cause it felt like it weighed a ton. Suppose to be there Monday...hope they like it. I will admit it is a little strange...

Dear Ladies,
If you haven't watched TV in the last 30 min. a horrible tragedy has occured in Conn. A gunman entered a elementary school and has shot (at this time) 27, of which 18 are small children. Please pray for these families...I just can't imagine the horror they are going thru at the moment. They are in the process of collecting their children and some don't know if their children are dead or alive.

Ya...just a bit of snow here at home, still down more than 4" for the season (16" annual, so down 4+"). Yup some of the slopes are beginning to get dumped on this week, am hoping we all get more soon!!!!! Ok..now!

Last week the mayor of Georgetown decided they needed some snow to help influence shoppers with snow scenes. They brought in the snow guns overnight...Big mistake...lol. Ended up with ice all over the place. They said that would never be tried again...lol...gosh I woder why...lol.

Many ski areas still haven't opened their full terrain yet, but hope the recent snows help all as we are soo depend on winter snows here in Colorado, for filling our lakes with runoff for irrigation everywhere on the eastern side of the state,
to winter and Summer tourism. And personally I'm ready for winter this year, bring on the snow, any and all blizzards are welcomed!!!! Wish the Gulf stream would begin cooperating and get that El Ninio thing going or that Pinneapple Express..

The one nice thing about the warm weather is sunshine and warmth=lower heating bills.

Hi, all.
Gosh, that snow machine idea seemed like a good idea at the time... LOL Oops... :)
Tried sending a message late last night, but my internet connection has been coming and going lately, and after writing my message, the connection was gone... Sigh... So, I'll try again :)
Mailed my package yesterday afternoon. :) It might have fit in my backpack, but it would have been a tight fit, so I was glad to have a ride. :) Didn't know the weight of the box, so I really needed to take it in. And I had fun doing some shopping for other gifts. Even found something else that my buddy would have liked! But, of course, I had already mailed the box! Will have to remember to go to that shop for future swaps :)
Oh, neat... An amaryllis snuck into someone's box :) How fun! What color is Amaryllis Milady?
While shopping for my buddy, my husband and I saw some gingerbread house kits. But these kits had the house already made! My husband commented that you don't even need to make the house anymore... Just need to decorate it.
I keep wanting to do some baking for all the holiday events going on, but unfortunately, I think the events will all be done by the time I actually have some time to do some. sigh... Perhaps next year I can be better prepared, and have some things baked before all the events! I'm still going to do some baking this year... just may have to extend our Christmas celebration! :)

Homemade Baileys Irish Cream Recipe
http://www.cupcakeproject.com/2009/12/homemade-baileys-irish...

Here is the homemade Baileys Irish Cream recipe for all of my friends, both on and offline. It's easy enough that you should have time to whip up a batch to take to your New Year's Eve parties! I found the recipe on a discussion forum on Chowhound. The entire discussion is worth a read. It contains lots of information about the drink.

1 C light cream
14 oz sweetened condensed milk
1 2/3 C Irish whiskey
1 t instant coffee
2 Tbs Hershey's chocolate syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp almond extract

-Combine all ingredients in a blender and set on high speed for 30 seconds.
-Bottle in a tightly sealed container and refrigerate. Shake before using.
-Will keep for up to 2 months.

I don't expect a refund, but come on, you could take the time to wrap and tape it up. And of course...it wasn't a $20 gift either. Arrggh!!

Very warm here today,, got so much done. Worked on Goober tiny attic bedroom, We have decided to paint here walk and ceiling with chalk board paint. Since the ceiling is bitterly only 4 foot above her head she can sit on the floor and draw what ever she wants. One wall win be a built in dresser, her twin matters sits on the floor, the other wall will have 4 stained glass pictures I made for her of fairies, those will be open to the kitchen so light will shine though, or maybe I will just add a night light behind each one that is light activated. That way she will have lights at night. I will try to get pictures of the space. When she gets really to big for this space will will use it for holiday storage. The total space is about 5ft. X 8fy. Not including where the built in drawers will be.

His wife can't retire tho because she is carrying the insurance, hummmm sounds familiar...rofl.

Friday and Saturday was not good for me. Got my box and another box for the inlaws ready and pack Thurs. night for their trip to the POP Friday. Left early Friday morn with DH to go to the big city (town) and to his work, they were having their office party and I was invited. We get to the office at 7:30 am and I figured I have an hour before PO opens I'll go to wally world and get a few extra something for stocking stuffers, didn't find any thing I liked. so went to PO, got out of the car and open the back end of the van, no boxes, crap I took them to the garage to put them in and forgot to do it. I'm not going to drive 40 miles home to get them and come back the 40 miles for the party, I'll take them to the next small town that has a PO that is still open, ours isn't.

Sat. morning, get in car, looked to make sure I did put them in, yep they are in the back. drive the 10 miles, dang they closed that po, go back the other direction, that one is closed too. Went north crossing my fingers, it's getting close to time that they close. Yeah they are open, get out and grab the packages and head to the door, 3 people in front of me. They lady in front of me has 5 packages. no problem they will stay open till we are all done. Finally I'm next and I put them on the counter. The guy looked at me real funny, he says I can tell you how much they weigh but I can't tell you how much it's going to cost, "Huh?" "Well, lady, I need the addresses so I can put in the zip codes." Again crap, I forgot to put them on the packages. I can't get home, get the info written down and back here again in time before they close. This po is only open from 8 to 9:30 on Saturdays. Well guess what, I finally got them out today, sorry buddy, DH said I was having a senior month with an extended brain fart.

Around here we call that a calamity of errors. You were persistent, Robin!

Nice packages rolling in and I seriously have Green Man envy. Looks like he tried to eat a box of chocolates on the way...lol
