Could anyone distinguish if these images are those of the pampass (cortadeira) grass or saccharum ravanea? At this time, it already finished blooming so I don't have any photos of the flowers. I am leaning toward saccharum but I am not sure.

    Please help,

    Pham

It doesn't look like Pampas grass to me. The leaves aren't wide enough and stems not thick enough.

I think this is a hardy or evergreen saccharum grass that stays green all year. At this time of the year, I think pampass grass should already shows some dead leaves but this saccharum looks green and healthy. The leaves of this grass don't seem to have sharp edges like pampass so i think it is a saccharum.

    thanks,

    Pham
