Being new to quilting and wanting to do it right, when you are hand quilting do you sew with thread doubled or single thread, knotted on one thread or both??? This may sound like a silly question but I am still learning. I have sewn every thing from critters to aprons but this is my first true experience of doing it by the book. Whew. This has been a real learning experience at 63. I have always wanted to quilt but I am truly dedicating my time to things where quilting is involved. Even Penny rugs are a form of quilting sorta. I can't give it all up.
Okay, so is it doubled thread or single thread????
