For those of you who are not into GMO products there are many substitutions for dark corn syrup. Two of those would be: For each cup of corn syrup substitute an equal amount of honey. For each cup of corn syrup substitute 1-1/4c dark brown sugar dissolved in 1/4c hot water or other liquid used in a recipe. Molasses can be added for taste. When I am using a substitution I add small amounts at a time to the recipe until I find the taste I am looking for.
