I would like to know what this plant is for a class. I know it is in the Onagraceae family.

I could be wrong again but it looks like Oenothera fruticosa, southern sundrops.

Definitely an Oenothera species. But without seeing some more details of the plant it's probably going to be difficult to say which species it is.

Actually, I think it maybe closer to creeping sundrops, Calylophus berlandieri.

There are certain distinct differences between Calylophus and Oenothera that the OP should be able to find out by googling a bit.
