    The leaves of this small tree remind me (or I would say exactly resemble) Hamelia patens grown commonly in Delhi, but flowers are some what different in colour and more importantly with much longer and spreading corolla lobes. Kindly help in ID.

    I agree, definitely one of those two. About how big was it? That might help determine which of the two it is, the flowers on both look pretty similar.

    Thanks a lot growin and ecrane3 for ID. It must be around 3-4 m tall. I take it as F. arborecens till am am corrected.
