I finally bought a couple of persimmons at the store and after tasting, I was ready to plant trees in my yard. My goodness, what a delicious fruit. Later I will post the name of a guy that has a sale on young persimmon trees, for anyone interested.

I've heard many people describe the taste and the descriptions are as varied as the people. IMO, it is a combo of sweet, ripe mango with a firm but sufficiently sweet pear. Cannot stress just how delicious fuyu persimmon is.

I bought my tree on eBay about 10 years ago. It is grafted to a hardier stock for my cold weather. I had to wait 10 years for my first (small) crop and it was worth it!
