    What do chestnuts taste like? How much does a half pound cost?

    They should be available in supermarkets about now. Local pricing I wouldn't know and the taste is hard to describe. Dry and sweet cooked this way:

    we have chinquapins around here. Ill hve to find some this year and see how they taste.
