Jim, many years ago I went to the San Antonio Botanical Garden's flower sale at their garden on Funston Place just off New Braunfels Ave.
There I purchased several plants that I loved and one was a peach brugmansia, another was a persian shield. Do not remember what time of year the sale was held, most likely in the spring. I no longer live in the area but you could visit their website and keep an eye on it and go to a wonderful event (assuming they still hold it). It is a lovely garden to visit anytime.

You may also check the local community collage plant sales. I have found some great deals there in California.
