I grow vanilla vines and love the process of fertilizing the flowers to make beans. I've made several batches of vanilla extract , it's easy, just take a handful of dried beans and put them in a bottle of vodka, brandy, or rum, place the bottle in a dark place and let it steep for several months. The more beans you use the more flavor in the final product. Vanilla orchid vines grow into huge meandering plants. They are easy to grow if you live where it's warm, much easier than many orchids.

This sounds so wonderful! Vanilla is my favorite fragrance and I would love to be able to grow the flower. Enjoy your warm climate and appreciate being in paradise. It's snowing here in Michigan.Happy Holidays to everyone!
