Watch those mites, yes. Just today I realized my son's little dollar deal ivy came with a crop of mites. I've bathed it, using Joy soap, which worked well on my lemon's mites.
Thanks for the hint, Sally. Using dishwashing soap sounds like a good environmentally-friendly solution to spider mites, especially if you rinse the soap from the leaves with a strong spray of water. I think the secret is treating them promptly, before they can do very much damage, or spread to other plants.
