Kindly help in ID of this shrub photographed at University of California Botanical Garden. Looks like Cotoneaster but leaves are narrower, underside?

Yep, Cotoneaster salicifolius or one of its hybrids or close relatives. Already in flower? Or was the pic taken last year? Around here it flowers in May - June.
